It’s officially Prom season!
Prom at JPCI was one for the books ✨🎉 From the outfits to the dance floor to the memories made with friends, it was a night we’ll never forget. Thanks to everyone who helped make it special. 💃🕺 @LC1_TDSB#PromNight#MakingMemories
Tonight’s Grade 12 prom was especially meaningful. Seeing former students whom I knew as elementary school children celebrating this milestone reminded me just how quickly the years pass.
Congratulations! I am proud of all you have accomplished and excited for what lies ahead!

In a world full of differences, peace is a choice we make every day. Today is a reminder that true strength lies in unity, in choosing acceptance over division, inclusion over exclusion, and harmony over conflict.
We connected this with the TRC’s call to action 19 and wrote a persuasive letter to PM Mark Carney asking him to fulfill his promise to bring clean water to First Nations communities. @FOS6Alvarez

Building collective efficacy through evidence-informed practice! At a recent staff meeting, staff engaged in rich dialogue, sharing math instruction that demonstrates the use and impact of high-yield strategies aligned with our School Improvement Plan. @FOS6Alvarez
We read “Spaghetti & Meatballs for All”which tells the story of seating plans for a dinner party. Ss then took on the challenge: how many different ways can you seat 32 people? They also found the corresponding areas & made connections b/w area & perimeter. @FOS6Alvarez
After reading This Land we noticed that the endpapers featured postcards w/ landmarks w/ the names of Indigenous territories. Then we researched Indigenous lands in Canada, created postcards and reflected on why we use to land acknowledgements. @FOS6Alvarez@UIEC_Tdsb
