GW33 Catch 🐟 Transfers (1FT, -4 hit): Konaté ⏩ O’Reilly Gordon ⏩ Cherki • Konaté → O’Reilly 📅 DGW 📈 City xCS strong 🎯 high upside scorer (non-Haaland) ⚠️ slight mins risk, fine over 2 games • Gordon → Cherki 🚨 Gordon out of favour 📈 triple City attack (Semenyo O’Reilly) 🎯 elite xA when playing ⸻ 🧢 Palmer • MUN (H) defence threadbare • BHA (H) still playable ⚽ pens central role 📊 strong data VC: O’Reilly ⸻ Accepting risk for ceiling. What’s your City triple? 👇 #FPL

GW32 Catch 🐟 Transfers (2FT, 0 hits): Mbeumo ⏩ Semenyo Ekitike ⏩ Welbeck 📉 Mbeumo - Poor data for cost 📈 Semenyo - City asset, most fixtures, nailed, strong NPxG 🚨 Ekitike - Minutes risk inconsistency 📅 Welbeck - BUR next, DGW33 🧠 Short-term Haaland fade ⸻ 🧢 João Pedro Ultimate NPxG king. Backing volume over fixture. VC: Palmer #FPL

GW31 Catch 🐟 Transfers: Rogers ⏩ Gordon 🧱 Waited for the structure to open. It did. 🔢 Gordon 2nd among MIDs for NPxG last 8 GWs 📈 Newcastle trending up ⏳ DGW33 likely We move early when optionality appears. Not after the herd. TC🧢 João Pedro VC: Bruno F 🎯 JP best NPxG in the game last 8 📉 Everton weak at home 🔥 Chelsea attack metrics elite Low ownership cap. Real upside. Who are you backing for captain? #FPL

GW30: Quiet climb 📈 62 pts 🌏 1.57M (↑ ~292K) 🧱 Defence delivered ⚡ Struijk Dango edges 🎯 João Pedro (C) miss Bruno wins outcome, but capping him wouldn't have moved the needle. Another JP captaincy next week? 📈 2nd consecutive ~300k green. Building, not chasing. 🛣️ Road to 100K 📉 126 pts needed 🗓️ 8 GWs to go 📐 ~15.8 pts/GW Share with me, who swung your GW? 👀 #FPL

GW30 Catch 🐟 Transfers: 🔁 Rolling 🧠 No need to force moves. DGWs/BGWs are coming and I want clearer info before committing the next structural change. Squad depth is strong anyway: 🪑 #MorganRogers first bench 🧱 #PascalStruijk second bench (DEFCON magnet) Happy to keep flexibility. --- GK 🧤 #JordanPickford v ARS 📈 Arsenal shoot a lot 🧤 Pickford saves a lot Sometimes the floor comes from save volume, not clean sheet odds. --- Captaincy 🧢 C: #JoãoPedro 🧢 VC: #HugoEkitike Pedro’s underlying numbers are ridiculous right now. 📊 7.3 NPxG in last 8 GWs 🎯 Clear attacking focal point 🔥 Chelsea attack in great form Returns recently: 19, 7, 10, 8, 10, 12, 8 Ceiling consistency is exactly the profile I want for captaincy. Ekitike stays VC. ⚡ Excellent fixture 📈 Strong involvement 📉 Spurs' grave defensive issues --- Plan remains the same: 📈 Push captaincy edges 🧠 Keep transfers flexible Who’s on your armband this GW? #FPL

Anyone has any clues on why, or is this normal here? Not that I'm bothered. More of curious. #FPL

🚨 WHY I'M AVOIDING #HAALAND FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON (Probably.) I sold him before GW27 when I noticed what I'm about to share below, and over time this decision has been confirmed enough times that I'm confident enough to post about it. If I did own him, the GW31 blank would've been be the least of my concerns. --- What I’m watching is the shape of City’s attacks lately. They are looking more transition-heavy. Less slow probing. More vertical moments when space opens. My read is that Pep has been adjusting (again). Teams have spent years learning how to survive the classic City pattern. Pep staying ahead of that curve wouldn’t surprise me at all. Just a working theory, but if there’s something there, a few recent things start to make more sense: ⚽ Haaland’s returns shifting: Fewer pure striker goals. A couple more assists creeping in. 🏃 Transition players benefiting: Someone like #Semenyo fits those moments much more naturally. Direct runner. Space attacker. Explains his consistent returns. --- That doesn’t mean Haaland suddenly becomes a bad asset. Quality still forces returns. But at that price, the question changes slightly. 📉 Floor is still solid 📈 Ceiling might be a bit more conditional if the role is evolving --- Then add the late-season reality: ⏳ City still alive in multiple competitions 🔄 Pep rotation tends to arrive quietly before people react None of this is a panic signal. More like a structural check-in. Sometimes the edge isn’t selling a premium. Sometimes it’s just not needing him right now. --- Anyone else noticing the tactical shift? What have you observed? 👇 #FPL #MCFC #ManchesterCity

What the data tells us are the top Haaland replacements: x.com/FPL_Walrus/status/2030…

NO #HAALAND, NO PROBLEM? [TOP 3 REPLACEMENTS] A few weeks ago I stepped away from Erling Haaland (rationale in next tweet). Not a panic sell. Just a structural read. If that budget leaves your squad… where should it actually go? A thread 🧵 #FPL

Removing a premium shouldn’t create chaos. Done well it creates optionality. More routes to points. More flexibility later. Curious where everyone’s landing here. Are you replacing Haaland? If so, who with? 👇🏼 Follow @FPL_Walrus for more data-driven #FPL takes that matter to you.
