• Jurgen, what’s your take on that Mexico vs South Africa game where the referee had to hold the players during the cooling break because FOX was still airing commercials? 🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Jurgen Klopp: “This is football being held hostage by suits in air-conditioned offices. These so-called ‘cooling breaks’ were sold to us as a shield for player welfare, a noble sword against the heat. But in reality? It’s nothing but a golden cage built for the advertisers. When I saw players standing around during a cooling break while television schedules dictated the rhythm of the match, I couldn’t help but wonder: who is the World Cup really serving? The fans? The players? Or the advertisers? A World Cup match should flow like a river. Instead, we’re building dams in the middle of it so commercials can pass through. That’s dangerous for the spirit of the game. Football was once the main event; now it risks becoming the background music to an advertising show. We’re told these breaks are about player welfare, and of course player health matters. But when the game starts bending its knee to television timing, people are going to ask questions. The ball is supposed to be the star. Not a commercial break. The World Cup is football’s cathedral. Yet sometimes it feels like we’ve turned it into a shopping mall where the cash register gets more respect than the match itself. If this is the future, then football isn’t being interrupted by advertisements anymore. Football is becoming the interruption between advertisements.” —🎙️ ZDF

I’m glad you don’t believe the polls. The ending will even more of a surprise!
NEWSMAX: A new poll shows the president losing almost half of his support from independents. Could this be trouble for November? RNC CHAIR JOE GRUTERS: No. I don't necessarily believe any of those polls.

When you are so loyal to a criminal you start to question the law.
Abby Phillip stuns smug Scott Jennings, who tried to spin Trump's Kennedy Center rebranding until one question stops him cold: "What about the law?" The answer is jaw-dropping.

🚨 BREAKING: England’s team equipment has been stolen including players’ boots/shoes, training gear, coaching staff equipment, balls and uniforms. The England camp is now working with police to find the stolen items or replace them quickly so the team can train as planned. [Daily Mail] #WorldCupwithMicky #ThreeLions #FIFAWorldCup
Community note
The image depicts a ransacked locker room but the equipment was stolen from a transport van en route to England's training base, not from the camp. dailymail.com/sport/football… hitc.com/what-was-stole…

🚨🇺🇸 A terrified Bongino told Tucker that Trump shut down the Butler investigation himself. Tucker says he accidentally obtained the Thomas Crooks social media posts the FBI claimed didn't exist, then called Kash Patel and Dan Bongino looking for answers. Bongino, a friend of many years, allegedly became hysterical before finally telling him to take it up with Trump, who he said killed the Butler investigation himself. Tucker says he still has every text exchange. "There's no good explanation for shutting down an investigation into your own attempted murder. This is not what we've been told it was." @TuckerCarlson @TCNetwork
🚨🇺🇸 🇮🇷 Tucker reacted live to Trump's "great settlement" post, and his count says it's the 39th deal announcement of this war. The post claims Hormuz reopens on signing, Iran gives up nuclear weapons forever, and the supreme leader is on board. Reacting in real time, Tucker admitted he wants it to be true. He campaigned for Trump for free and wakes up an optimist every morning: "That's the 39th post that has made the same claim, and the first 38 have proven false." His deeper worry: Iran's non-negotiable demands end with them controlling one of the most important pieces of real estate on the planet. @TuckerCarlson @TCNetwork

here's the full clip of Rep. Emilia Sykes's brilliant line of questioning that made Chris Wright squirm by confronting him with the completely unhinged comments Trump just made in the Oval Office about inflation and the war in Iran

FIFA knew this coming but decided not to move The World Cup.

Whew!
holy crap this is easily the best Tony Award speech of the entire night. hell yes to all of this "This is dedicated to the beautiful tapestry of immigrant families who make this country really special. May you one day not have to audition for the empathy that should be freely given by this country that benefits from your beauty. To the queer and trans communities that always will exist, no matter what people in power try to take away from them. To the people of Palestine who deserve to live a free life – a full life – without occupation. ... If there's one thing we can learn from vampires, it's that life is short, but that's its gift. Find beauty in the ephemeral and gratitude in what is not promised." —Ali Louis Bourzgui, winning Featured Actor in a Musical for The Lost Boys

I guess we don’t need a ballroom because this proves he’s able to go to a public arena without incident.
Of all the selfish, narcissistic things Trump has done, attending MSG to see the Knicks play in person Monday night is the absolute worst. 20,000 attendees will be MASSIVELY inconvenienced for all the extra security, the Knicks Watch Party at Garden Is canceled, thousands of extra law enforcement officers will be required (paid for by taxpayers), traffic will be a disaster -- all so he can sit in the Garden rather than watch the game on TV. Presidents ought to be willing to sacrifice once in awhile.
