Her service on FSA's board was due to her appreciation for the role of Atlanta Quakers in the struggle for civil rights as well as for Friends education. One of her daughter's attended the George School, a Friends boarding school in Philadelphia. #CivilRights #quakereducation

Juanita, who among other heroic accomplishments was the strategist for the Montgomery bus boycott, was a warm and loving presence who could move mountains for social justice.

Mama monarchs are laying eggs and their larva will be the adults that migrate to Mexico between October and November. Students will learn to identify the monarchs as male/female, tag them for Monarch Watch citizen science project and release them into the garden.
