Let’s imagine for a second that life is a mountain. Everyone climbs the mountain for different reasons and reach certain heights. Some people reach the top. Some people get half way up. Tragedy strikes some people and their climb ends. Some people never begin the climb at all.

Maybe I’m a bitter fan but I know I absolutely don’t want to watch a reality show that targets 6 to 11 year olds. Again, the core identity of the show has been lost. The show used to be people willing to do anything to win 1 million dollars, now it’s a friendship show for kids who want to go camping.

Called it exactly what it is. A popularity contest to see who the nicest person left standing is. The survivor I fell in love with is totally dead. The core of what made survivor the best has been completely lost.

#Survivor50 was a total flop in my opinion. Some cool moments with fun players from the past, but all in all the same stale themes that have plagued the show for the past 4-5 years. Show needs to move from Fiji and start branching out again. It’s become too comfortable for the players, and uncomfortable situations is what made survivor so great. Challenges and strategy almost mean nothing anymore. Nicest person who is left standing always wins. The game used to change season by season, now it’s just a repeat.

Once upon a time if you took a dollar you weren’t supposed and got caught you couldn’t ever play college sports again. NOW you can get drafted, make millions playing in Europe, take two-way contracts in the NBA, play in the G League, and if all that doesn’t work out - you can just decide to go play college basketball.
