Official page for The Hardee Center for Leadership & Ethics in Higher Education. We support our graduate students, faculty, staff, friends and The LifeNet.
At the most recent website refresh at 11:26 am, the Hardee Center has received $5,840 from our supporters!
We are completely flabbergasted at this number and incredibly excited to increase and grow our projects and plans beyond initial estimates!!
Graduate Mentorship Program:
In summer 2019, the Hardee Center will begin the implementation of the graduate mentorship program, working to match our master's and doctoral students with our LifeNet members.

Oral History Project
This project focuses on collecting and preserving our alumni's stories and experiences, so that we - as a field, as a department, and as a center - stay grounded in our history while moving forward and planning for the future.

Thank you to all of our supporters who have given so much already. Ya'll are gems!
We have one other goal we would really love to meet, 100 supporters. The size of your gift doesn't matter, literally every dollar counts.

We would still really like to hit our 100 individual supporters goal. Literally, every penny counts. Plus we still are hosting our Cohort competition!
So if you're interested in expanding our reach, join the cohort competition, or just support our program, here's the link:
We are just 2 hours into the Great Give, and we just met the half-way point for our goal! Oh SNAP!
We would love to meet and surpass both goals! Wondering what the center has in store for the next year, check out our graphics below.

ALT DISSERTATION TRANSCRIPT SCHOLARSHIPS: In addition to our Hardee Fellow Grants and our Carrie G. Hall scholarship, we would like to create a scholarship dedicated to assisting with the costs of transcribing dissertation material, as this can be an incredibly costly and time-consuming process for our candidates. We would like to award at least one scholarship to our newly minted 2019 doctoral candidates.
ALT HARDEE TRAVEL FELLOWSHIPS: These grants are awarded to our graduate students to financially assist them in attending conferences and workshops. Funding can be applied to lodging, airfare, food, ground transportation, registration, and more. During the 2018-2019 academic year, we were able to support 25 graduate students. Our 2019-2020 goal is to increase the funding amount each fellow receives.
ALT LENDING TEXTBOOK & RESOURCE LIBRARY: There are a number of additional costs beyond tuition waivers our students face while attending our program. The aim of this resource is to assist in mitigating costs as much as possible. Our current goal is to include least two copies of every textbook for required classes in both the master's and the doctoral curriculum, as well as sets of graduation regalia.
ALT GRADUATE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM: In summer 2019, the Hardee Center will begin the implementation of the graduate mentorship program, working to match our master's and doctoral students with our LifeNet members. Ultimately the aim of this program is to provide our students with support through our program and beyond. We will also be gathering and developing resources for both our mentees and mentors.
Good morning LifeNet!
For the next 36 hours the Hardee Center will be taking part in FSU's annual Great Give!
We are hoping to raise $3,500 and at least 100 individual supporters.
