We’ve provided a six figure investment to Allerton Steel, enabling them to acquire a new ESAB submerged arc boom welder. This upgrade boosts production capacity, supports delivery of its HS2 contract, and strengthens the company’s ability to win larger infrastructure projects. Allerton Steel operates from a 50,000 sq. ft facility, employing 94 staff and delivering high quality structural and mechanical fabrication since 2009. We are marking the full realisation of the Tees Valley Catalyst Fund, which delivered £26m in bond finance to 29 North East businesses. This support helped secure almost £330m in contracts, creating 588 jobs and safeguarding 1,322 more. Backed by the Tees Valley Combined Authority, the fund provided short term loans for performance bonds, warranties and contract delivery across sectors including manufacturing and construction, benefitting firms such as Wilton Engineering and Hambleton Steel.
