The Service lost one of its own yesterday. It is with deep regret we announce that our colleague, friend, and Watch Manager, Jon Partridge, sadly passed away yesterday after a medical emergency. We are devastated and shocked at the tragic loss, and Jon will be greatly missed.

A busy day across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Thankfully no lives lost, but sadly many affected by flooding and the aftermath πŸš’πŸš‘πŸš“ are all still dealing with incident’s as flood waters enter rivers. Stay safe, don’t enter or drive in flood water!
Our crews have been busy today responding to multiple flooding incidents with 59 people rescued today from properties. ⚠️ Life at risk? Call 999 🏠 Flooded home? Turn off electricity, gas & water 🚧 Road closed? Find another route βœ… Check on vulnerable neighbours

🌧️ Some roads may still be affected by flooding. If flood water blocks your route, do not drive through it - it is often deeper than you think. Don't go around road closure signs, find an alternate route. If you get stuck and it’s an emergency, call 999 πŸš’ orlo.uk/sHVQJ
