We had to be careful walking through the playground this morning... Year Two have been learning archery during day four of our Olympic Week.

Day four of our Olympic Week. Year R have been developing their rhythmic gymnastics skills.

During our Olympic Week we have also been finding out about Japan as a country. Throughout the week all children are making and tasting sushi. Although apprehensive about seaweed at first, several children loved it!

Today, as part of our Olympic Week, Year 2 have been developing their table tennis (Wiff Waff) skills!

This week we are holding our Olympic Week. We are finding out about the Olympics, Japan and trying some different sports. Today, Year One have been trialling fencing!

Year Two enjoyed their visit from @zoolabuk this week where they learnt: how some animals survive in their habitat; how they camouflage to their environment; that some have an exoskeleton for protection and how one of the creatures produces a pongy smell to ward of predators!

Year One boarded the Titanic and enjoyed a day experiencing what life would have been like for those on board. There were lots of smiles, but also time for our school value of Reflection, as children thought carefully about the events leading up to and following the sinking.

Our thoughts are with Her Majesty the Queen with the death of her husband, His Royal Highness Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Today we had a special visitor who brought us all an Easter egg following our Easter hunt around school!

Today some children tasted a range of different breads that our new caterer @EdwardsandWard will be offering as part of our new menu after Easter. Thank you to Ben, their Development Chef... the bread was yummy!

We have photocopied each child's canvas from Arts Week and created an outdoor gallery on the contractors hoarding. Thank you to Wates for your help in putting the gallery together. Come and take a look when school reopens on Monday! @FOISbuild

Our builders are arriving on site this week to begin major building work. So that those children who are not in school at the moment can see what is happening in school, we have set up a separate Twitter account so they watch the work progress... @FOISbuild

Christmas is on its way! Tonight we have decorated our school and put up our Christmas tree. All the children have created a decoration to hang on it.

Earlier this week the Pupil Council went on a socially distanced walk to lay a wreath to remember the soldiers that died in the war.
