Her first recording of the song was in 1966 for her second Decca folk collection ‘North Country Maid’ and it also appeared on ‘Blazing Away’, Marianne’s acclaimed live retrospective from 1990.

In recent years Marianne revisited a number of her earlier recordings, finding further meaning and nuance with the passage of time. It feel very fitting therefore to now have a new interpretation of 'She Moved Thru’ The Fair' on her final release.
