Dear friends, I unfortunately need to ask for help and support this Christmas season. Australian authorities keep demanding that I pay a $24,000 penalty for holding a blank sign outside the Brisbane Chinese Consulate in 2022. I tried to challenge them in court to win a free speech precedent but we unfortunately lost and they now seek to crush me financially. The debt compounds at 10.35% a year and I simply don’t have the money to pay it as I only have a few thousand in personal savings. I previously offered to serve prison time in exchange for clearing the debt but the Brisbane authorities refused my offer, saying that we no longer have workhouses in society.
