The outcry that these two films are the same is honestly embarrassing and highlights a lack of critical thinking. It feels like a certain group of Latinos who only accept one type of representation trying to center themselves in a movie that doesn’t include them.

I absolutely love Selma in this film…her characters and the other Mexican vampires were objectified and portrayed as violent demons vs Sinners where the the vampires genuinely wanted FREEDOM from a world where they were colonized and systematically oppressed.
