That's actually the mentality that "abroad" (mostly Western Europe and America) instilled in you: forget that it was they who initially made you poor, then shifted their exploitation strategy by using middlemen who share your skin colour, who are the ones involved in poor leadership and wickedness you mention, and constantly blame them for every little thing.
The moment you travel abroad, you realize Nigeria's problems aren't a lack of resources they're a result of decades of poor leadership and wickedness.

Everyone is forced to be in Lagos. And I mean “deliberately” forced to be in Lagos to serve capitalism. You probably don’t know this because you don’t understand how the capitalist economy of Nigeria is set up to work. When you extract the value of the whole country and concentrate it in one location, it serves the capitalists, as people will be forced by lack of activities to leave their original location (where they live rent free and grow their own food) to Lagos where they will have no choice than slave for capitalism just to afford to pay for the same rent and food they had for free. Capitalism needs people who are desperate to eat and pay rent to survive. It was not by accident that every headquarters and every key infrastructure and public service was concentrated in Lagos. It was deliberate. It’s also not by accident that insecurity is trafficked everywhere else before it get to Lagos. It is deliberate. It’s very important you educate yourself on how systems work, to avoid embarrassing yourself by asking people if they are forced to be in Lagos. Of course, they are forced to be in Lagos.

The same institutions warning about rising poverty are now proposing higher taxes on fuel and telecommunications which are the two essential services millions of Nigerians rely on daily. Nigerians are already burdened by rising transport, food, and data costs, the issue is not whether the government needs more revenue, but why ordinary citizens must continue to bear the cost of policy failures. Economic growth is driven by productivity and opportunity, not by taxing struggling citizens into prosperity.

While we are all angry at the IMF and World Bank for being the Primary drivers of the Current Cost of living Crisis in Nigeria. Do well to remember that the IMF and World Bank are American Institutions and all American Institutions exist to make your Life miserable

The IMF has asked Nigeria to add taxes on fuel and telecom services. This is the same IMF that lent us money while 63% of Nigerians were already living in poverty. Now they want VAT on petrol and tax on your airtime. They dint say to build roads or to fix hospitals. But to make sure the repayment schedule of loans stays clean. So let me get this straight. You borrowed money from people who are now telling you how to squeeze it back from the same suffering citizens you borrowed it to help. Nigeria is not being governed. We are being administered on behalf of creditors. Tinubu did not come to Aso Rock to serve Nigerians. He came to service their loan.

With this report, it's very obvious that some people somewhere don't want the progress of this country called Nigeria. IMF is hell bent on seeing Nigerians unalived by extreme hunger and poverty. Does it mean that this organization doesn't understand what Nigerians are passing through? Why propose more taxes? They told the government to remove fuel subsidy and they did. The impact of that singular act pushed more Nigerians below poverty line. They moved to education and electricity and removed subsidies there. They keep suggesting senseless and inhumane policies without talking about cutting cost of governance for the Nigerian government. What does IMF really want from Nigerians? Our blood?

Go and read about $2 Billion arms deal or Dasukigate on Wikipedia, you will open mouth on how Sambo Dasuki and the cronies of the then president, Goodluck Jonathan shared monies meant to procure arms against insurgency. Same Dasuki is the one Tinubu gave National honor. A known thief. A corrupt man to the core. That’s who Tinubu thought fit to be given National honor. Why is this man running this country like it belongs to Gang of Lagos?

Just in case people are not aware, the removal of electricity subsidies in Nigeria, which has caused the astronomical rise in electricity prices, was directly dictated by the World Bank's to both the previous and the present Nigerian government. Whether you think electricity should even be subsidised or not (I personally think it should be, because there is literally no serious country in the world where it isn't), what should worry you more than the removal alone is the fact that a small group of unelected, anonymous white men in Washington DC acting on behalf of a foreign state interest (the US govt is the World Bank's biggest shareholder) have the power to determine how much you should pay for your electricity in Nigeria. The electricity is generated in Nigeria, using Nigerian energy sources and Nigerian labour, and is distributed and transmitted using Nigerian infrastructure, but one group of oyibos you have never heard of who are sitting on another continent somehow have the power to instruct your government to raise your energy bills and complicate your life. They even offer your government loans that it doesn't need and isn't qualified for, then they make disbursement conditional on increasing your electricity bill by removing the same electricity subsidy that they have in their own country, because Africa's largest population and industrial cluster must not be allowed to have sustained and reliable access to cheap power. If it gets that, the only possible result is industrialisation - which means no more free natural resources and cheap labour to support the existing unipolar economic order. This is why geopolitics concerns you in Agege. It literally determines the price of your Ikeja Electric units.

Their play book is simple: Support and arm the minority against the majority and set them against one another. Then go there as a mediator, disguise like they want peace and make a U-turn to install their puppet. Now people wonder why there is no peace in the world.
Bismillahi Rahmani Rahiim; I have arrived in Israel as the first President of the Republic of Somaliland to undertake a State Visit, and I am honoured by the warm welcome extended by my friend, President @Isaac_Herzog For thirty-five years, the people of Somaliland have built a peaceful, democratic, and resilient nation. We asked the world: Do you see us? Israel answered first. Today marks a historic milestone in our journey and the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between Somaliland and Israel. To the people of Somaliland: I carry your hopes and aspirations with me. Generations have struggled, sacrificed, and persevered to bring our nation to this moment. We will seize this opportunity with confidence, wisdom, and determination, always guided by the interests of our people and our Republic. Today, history is being written, and Somaliland stands ready to forge a shared future founded on friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect. #SomalilandIsrael

The following projects have very little to do with sustainable development in Nigeria: 1. Roads construction 2. Bridges construction 3. Flyovers construction 4. Painting classrooms 5. Buying buses 6. Passenger trains 7. Building empty classrooms 8. Building empty hospitals 9. Giving 20k to the poorest of the poor 10. Sponsoring marriages These are all money drains with almost zero impact on the economy for the long term. The foundations are left unattended. These include: 1. Agricultural innovation beyond subsistence. 2. Training world class teaching competency at primary and secondary levels. 3. Training and retaining competent doctors to meet growing population. 4. Equipping hospitals with world class tools. 5. Provision of clean and accessible drinking water for all. 6. Subsidizing industrialisation for mass employment opportunities. 7. Modernising mining activities to provide mass employment opportunities. 8. Proper sanitation and effective urban waste management. 9. Proper urban planning and strict building codes. 10. Automated governance accounting, auditing, and procurement systems. 11. Voluntary population growth adjustment through mass contraception uptake campaigns. 12. Strengthening government institutions and making them transparent. 13. Credible salaries and pension systems. 14. Strict anti corruption laws. 15. Transparent election system that is rigging proof. There are many more. But these must be prioritised by any serious government. Nigeria's 230M population that is growing geometrically while government is wasting money is not sustainable. It is a ticking time bomb that is set to explode anytime soon.

A proverb made in Ghana, but most relevant to the idiocracy 3 countries to the east.
The IMF just instructed Nigeria to slap more fuel and telecom taxes on its citizens. I don’t remember any Nigerian ever casting a vote for the IMF, and they’ve certainly never appeared on any election ballot.
