DAY 6 7 8:
I LAUNCHED THE ROCKET!
Here's my final base, with each science section highlighted. Funny how small the first three sciences are compared to the rest of them.
In the end, I added the remaining sciences all in their separate lanes making either 2/sec (🟥🟩⬛️), 1/sec (🟦) or 0.5/sec (🟪🟨) (see sections).
Small concrete plant on the left with a flame thrower ammo plant below. Also a rocket fuel plant (1/sec) on the bottom.
Have yet to set up automatic rocket and satellite production due to the limitations of this base design.
I'm starting to see why everyone uses a "main bus" design instead of compartmentalizing each science to it's own section. Much easier to expand when demand needs more iron plates of copper wire (also probably a bit more fun dealing with bottlenecks).
Took me 40hrs to beat. I feel like I didn't fully engage with all the system the game had to offer. I barely touched circuits, nuclear power and more advanced combat.
Overall great game and definitely lived up to the hype!
DAY 4 5
- Added military, blue and purple science sections
- Now have actual train unloading station with remote mining bases
I get a feeling that individual sections are kinda annoying. Maybe I should have made it with a "main bus" design...
