Excited to receive @amazon Research Award to advance our work on physics-integrated agentic AI for autonomous materials and catalyst discovery. Looking forward to pushing scientific AI and cloud-scale discovery workflows forward! #AgenticAI#AWS#ScientificAI#MaterialsDiscovery
Wow — our @J_A_C_S paper is online: “Diffusion Model-Guided Inverse Design of Bimetallic Catalysts for NH₃ Decomposition”! Thrilled this is my 2nd paper today and our group’s 3rd JACS. Huge thanks to @ENERGY for funding and collaborators @FudongLiu1 and team @WPI ! 🚀🔬
New paper in @ACSCatalysis ! 🚀 We show how plasma reshapes NH3 cracking on carbides/nitrides using multi-scale simulation. Plasma enables radical-driven pathways, boosting TOFs. Big step toward Ru-free H2 from ammonia. Thanks to @ENERGY for support!

Thrilled to share our new paper in @NatureComms ! 🎉
With the collaboration of @Jiao_Lab , we developed an AI-driven multiscale framework revealing the CO-to-acetate mechanism and guiding Cu-based catalysts.
Thanks @NSF & @ENERGY for support!

So proud of my team @WPI for their fantastic presentations @ChEnected this year even without me there. My 2nd baby, Juno, decided to arrive on the very last day of the conference! 💙 Couldn’t have asked for a better reason to miss it!
🚀Excited to share our new work in @JCatal_J on electrochemical C–N coupling in Cu-based MOFs, revealing a sustainable route for urea synthesis via DFT MKM experiments. Thanks, Sara Thoi, Yuting & @NSF! sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
Looking forward to the upcoming @ChEnected AICHE meeting next week! Our group @WPI will present 9 talks covering topics from electro-, plasma-, and field-enhanced catalysis to PFAS alternatives, using computations from group additivity and multi-scale simulation to generative AI.
Super enjoyed Maria Flytzani-Stephanopoulos symposium at Tufts yesterday. Congrats to my student Pragyansh Singh for getting 2nd place in poster presentation.
How can AI and computational modeling advance clean energy innovation? Fanglin Che, associate professor of chemical engineering, is using both to optimize hydrogen fuel production. Her research team was just published in @NatChemEng. bit.ly/47d2a8g#AIResearch#Sustainability@FanglinGroup
🌟 Exciting News! 🌟
I’m thrilled to see @WPI feature our group’s recent publication in @NatChemEng ! 🎉

🧠💡 Our study presents an AI-driven, closed-loop framework to accelerate the discovery of plasma catalysis.
Feeling thrilled! This marks a major milestone for our team in plasma catalysis, published @NatChemEng ! Thanks to editors @tjdursch and @yanfei
Huge thanks to my team @WPI and collaborators@yanhuiyi and @BareckaLab . Thanks to @ENERGY Let’s keep pushing forward!
Wow! @tejchoksi shared this photo with me. We were both recipients of @aiche_cre travel award in 2016, when @TheGrabowGroup and Dr. Bob McCabe were serving as vice chairs. I also spotted @McCrum_Group , @JWHarrisCatal and other outstanding scientists in the photo. Great memory!
It was a pleasure to host @tejchoksi from @NTUsg at @WPI. We greatly enjoyed his insightful talk on ultrasound irradiation for fine chemical synthesis and its exciting connections to our research on plasma and microwave-driven processes.
Our first seminar at Chemical Engineering Department @WPI featured Prof. Michael Janik @PennStateChE, who shared his excellent work in electrocatalysis. It was a great talk, and we captured some nice photos during his visit.
Excited to share our electrocatalysis work @WPI@NSF , in collaboration with @yayuan_liu@JohnHopkinsUn ! 🎉
We show that a hybrid catalyst converts CO2 to CO with >99% efficiency, even under acidic conditions, advancing energy-efficient solutions. 🌍⚡
