ironically there is an nhk program for advanced english learners that analyzes mumbled sentences from real americans. they did a whole segment on how "i munna..." is a way americans say "i'm going to" and the japanese hosts were like ๐
i've passed N1 and visited Japan recently, but hadn't actually used my japanese in a good 6-12 months
1st konbini visit -- it took me three goes before I understood "ใฌใธ่ขใใใพใใ๏ผ"
this did improve after a few days.
