Passed the setting of the opening scene of my first ever published short story this evening. Still kinda love those lines like a first chord. Thanks, @FarOffPlaces!
Less than 72 hours left to get your entries in for the Open House Poetry Competition.
You probably stand a better chance of winning than Theresa May currently does in the UK parliament.
G'wan and good luck!

This is lovely, a limited edition handbound copy of the final issue of @FarOffPlaces. I'm so glad to have been published in this wonderful journal - in this issue, in great company, a poem: 'Plant Me' and an illustration 'Rucksack'. Digital copies from faroffplaces.org
Lovely @JeanBava has just called being published by us "forever one of my most meaningful literary experiences", and @georgi_gill, you win the bet, @slender_means may finally need some tissues.
(Also, check out @JeanBava's magazine, @outcastlit, it looks fab!)
It really has been a week of farewells and new beginnings. The staff of @ByLeavesWeLive championed us from the start and put us on the shelves aside our literary magazine idols. We're going to miss @GillHamnett and @miss_e_prince, who're moving on from the library this week!
Thanks to everyone who came along last night and made our wake such a wonderful event. Contrary to @georgi_gill's predictions, @slender_means didn't cry, and all of our readers were just fab. Thanks too to the marvelous @Lighthousebks for hosting us!
Had an amazing night in Edinburgh thanks to the @FarOffPlaces team! I read at the launch of the new issue at @Lighthousebks, to a lovely, engaging audience, and then hung out for hours with some really nice new people. So glad I made the journey here and thanks for having me ✨📚
TONIGHT we bid a fond farewell to one Scotland’s finest poetry pamphlets- @FarOffPlaces!
Its pages were the first outing of many a celebrated contemporary poet, now they end the run on a high note!
Join us for a celebratory send off with some phenomenal performances!
