Today, Jean-Pierre Gagnon, our President & CEO, moderated the “Reinsurance Market Resilience” MAMIC 2026 panel alongside Peter Askew, President & CEO of Guy Carpenter. With resilience as this year’s theme, the discussion focused on how we can prepare today for the challenges of tomorrow.

Lithium-ion battery fires are extremely dangerous and can spread quickly. Why? Traditional fire extinguishers may not put them out, water may not stop the fire from spreading, and re‑ignition is common, sometimes minutes, hours, or even days after the flames appear to be out. Here are some tips to help prevent a lithium-ion battery fire.

#ClimateChangeResiliency: As hail risk increases across many regions, homeowners building or replacing their roofs should consider impact-resistant Class 4 shingles. Alternative roofing materials, such as rubber, metal or plastic, can also help improve durability and reduce damage. Thanks for the information, @ICLRCanada.
