Also watched the best film I’ve seen all year tonight if anyone cares. Chabrol moves Nicholas Ray’s In A Lonely Place to rural France and makes it even sadder somehow. Starting to conclude he was the best actual director of the New Wave.

this prediction was 100% correct btw. the alien in the last scene of the movie is NOT computer generated, he’s a real guy. he’s listed in the credits, he even has an IMDb page. he’s eligible for Best Supporting Actor
