China does not need to worry.
That place will never declare their independence from China.
As long as that place has its own democratically elected government, its own president, its own military, its own constitution, its own passport system, its own immigration and border controls, its own currency called the New Taiwan Dollar, its own police and courts, its own tax system, its own elections, its own laws, its own trade agreements, its own national health care system, its own economy, its own postal service, its own telecommunications systems, its own coast guard, its own airports and air traffic control, its own shipping ports, its own national identification systems, its own education system, its own foreign representative offices around the world, and it operates independently from the government of People's Republic of China in all governmental functions, that place will always be a part of China, no problem.
