Best I can tell, with Alabama losing 14-2 to Texas in the 9th inning, this will be the largest negative run differential (-21) for a CWS team that was swept since Colorado State College (now Northern Colorado) was outscored by 25 runs in the 1957 College World Series.

Raised a concern on TWJ this week that seems to have been valid. Alabama looks like a team that hasn’t played anyone as good or better than them since the SEC Tournament. Oklahoma looks like a team who had to go on the road to stun the national #2 GT and an upstart Kansas team. The edge with which these two teams have played from the first pitch today is quite a contrast.
