I’m very confused as to why World Athletics have removed their posts of Adaejah Hodge’s and Samuel Ogazi’s performances at the NCAA Championships.
I noticed that Adaejah was receiving some negativity, but surely you’d just turn off the comments?
It makes no sense to remove the posts UNLESS World Athletics has been informed that the marks achieved by both respective athletes can’t be ratified for whatever reason.
Ultimately, it raises more questions, especially as they’ve kept up Ja’Kobe Tharp’s world record performance 🤷♂️

But, the moment an African or any athlete from an othered region replicates or surpasses their feats, suddenly the wind gauges or timers must be faulty.

With what I'm hearing, I don't think this is heading in the right direction.
First, Ghana could be without Thomas Partey for an important match because of issues unrelated to the competition. That's a huge setback, not just for the team but for the entire country.
Now we're hearing reports of Senegalese fans facing visa difficulties. How is that fair? Imagine playing one of the biggest matches of your life without the support of your fans in the stadium.
Football is about competition, atmosphere and national pride. Supporters are part of that experience.
I think something has to be done and adjusted immediately because, from where I'm standing, it feels like African teams and African supporters are the ones being affected the most.

South Africa’s Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie told Robert Marawa this:
“Infantino has been the best person for African football. His relationship with Trump isn’t our business. He has been very kind to Africa. I don’t care about his relationship with Trump. This World Cup is not what people think.”
“I respect America’s rules. Did everyone in South Africa get their visas? Yes, so what’s the problem?”
“People, for example in Ghana, say Bafana Bafana must lose and you think if they stop a Ghanaian referee, I will care? Maybe you (Marawa) have a kind heart, but me, no!”
“If South Africa is sorted, our players are sorted, my team is sorted with visas, that’s it.”
