Re: abusers. It's hard to find empathy, but it's important to remember no one becomes an abuser in a vacuum. Every instance of abuse comes from a place of trauma. Not to say abusers should be given passes. Support their victims/do no harm. In rare cases abusers can recover.

When people say women have no hope of fighting a man who wants to harm them, I think of the 42 year old woman who avoided rape when she bit the balls off Erik Williams. Stay willing to fight, not fearful, ladies. The only person who wants you convinced it's hopeless is a predator.

One of my proudest mom moments was when I was teaching my oldest to drive, and asked her what she should do if she encountered a car jacking. We lived in an area of high jacking. She said get out and run. I asked: Why? You have a 2 ton weapon that's some protection from bullets and goes faster than you ever could. Run them over if needed. A few years later my youngest, seeing some show where a woman ran from a car, asked "Why is she leaving her only weapon?" Teach *competence and strategy* not paralyzed fear. That's how you empower girls.

Abuse aid to men is not detracting from women, nor is it "MRA." Because abuse is not political, it is not gendered in victim or perpetrator, it is not defined by anything but human behavior. Therefore, abuse aid is a human right. All of us.

Before you read a single thing this guy posts about male-lead violence, remember in 2024 I called him out for ignoring *his own research* demonstrated higher rates of perpetration from women.
Men and boys have a vital role to play in preventing and reducing men’s violence against women and girls. Massive collection of resources here: readings, speeches, manuals, discussions of key debates, bibliographies, my book (free in PDF), etc. xyonline.net/content/violenc…

I wonder why he utilized 2016 data and not more current data for his figures? The CDC has published 1 in 3 men, lifetime rate of intimate partner violence victimization, 97% by women, since at least 2017. Maybe because this was his response- male abuse victim recognition is "MRA" and "its not as harmful."

On his sexual violence stats, he also clearly ignored the CDC publishing on made to penetrate sexual violence, published in 2014- two entire years before his cited data- showing men are raped by women as often as men rape women. Why would a researcher, not research? time.com/3393442/cdc-rape-nu…

"Men are responsible for 96% of murders." You actually can't know that, because there is no centralized data base for murder convictions. Only *federal* murder convictions, of which many murders don't meet the standard for Federal charges. The rest, including manslaughter, are prosecuted at state level. For example, murder in the US carries an average 60% clearance rate. Meaning 60% of murders are cleared either through prosecution or another means. The average murder trial lasts 2 years. So we see in 2022 there were 21,939 murders. But in 2024 there were 274 convictions. Exonorations not subtracted bc year of conviction is unknown. Like it or not, that's 21,665 murders not tallied in your Federal offense stat that claims men commit most murders. Of those, 12,999 had clearance.

Every week I see, speak to & work with men & boys who have experienced violence, emotional abuse, sexual abuse & controlling behaviour Many never reported to police or official sources The issue is a lot more prevalent than we realise & it deserves much more attention

I have an angel friend. She was my neighbor during the worst of my divorce, when I was trying to leave my husband and couldn't. We've never gone out, had dinner, and I've moved across the country. But she was my friend then and now we randomly text one another, always when one of us needs a friend. Somehow. Life's little-big magics.

After I was informed of "oil checking" I looked into it. It's a well known move, known enough to be classified as illegal holds. This match was conducted by the Puyallup School District, and governed by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA). WIAA doesn't have an official "oil checking" policy, but it classifies the move as an illegal hold. Meaning the ref should have immediately stopped the match.
NEW: Prosecutors say they will not charge trans wrestler with alleged sexual assault of Kallie Keeler because of "case law concerning consent in athletic contests." If only the state of Washington had given Kallie the option to consent to being touched by a male.

I went to WIAA's website and page to report behaviors and found this: "NOTE: The WIAA is not an appropriate organization with whom to report instances of physical or sexual abuse toward a student. Mandatory reporters or patrons with direct knowledge of physical or sexual abuse should report to law enforcement or Child Protective Services immediately – 1-866-ENDHARM (1-866-363-4276)." Essentially, any player assaulted in a match has no recourse but law enforcement. The agency governing participation and matches refuses to take reports. wiaa.com/addressing-discrimi…

The CDC states: 1 in 3 men are abused by an intimate partner, mostly women. 1 in 3 women are abused by an intimate partner, mostly men. The catch: the CDC further specifies 1 in 7 men experience *severe* physical assault, discounting shoving, slapping, etc. The 1 in 3 women stat does not discount these same actions as they're not "severe" enough. It's always surprising to people when I post studies that show most abused women are seen in hospitals for bruises. Please note I am not minimizing their injuries. A bruise hurts, but it also indicates a relationship where that woman has been terrorized, made fearful, felt helpless. Where she now has betrayal trauma, not only with her partner, but herself. This matters just as much as her bruise. All I'm saying is bruises hurt men in the same way. Intimate partner abuse harms men, even if not "severe." It's well past the time to stop demanding that men be "abused enough" to matter. apa.org/news/press/releases/…

What men mean when they say modern feminism is full of women who want all the attention, all the aid, all the support and for men to pay it happily and do without. This is why feminism is failing, and women like this are to blame.

I'm not anon on X because men. I'm anon because the absolutely unhinged women who hate me for posting accurate stats and admit to stalking me. It's always the women who also post men are the problem.

So anyway, I didn't want to cook and made steamed eggs for dinner. Not only was it stupidly easy, it was delicious and one of those things I'm mad at myself for not making sooner. Whisk eggs with 1.5 times the amount of water, add salt, skim the bubbles, cover in wrap and steam for 10-12 minutes. I scored mine and added chilli oil and green onions. What are you eating?

A look at the IPH (Intimate Partner Homicide) perpetrator: generally, a high minority % experienced childhood abuse (physical and sexual), witnessed abuse between parents, and mixed results returned on the prevalence of mood disorders with some recording marginal while others record substantial. Frequent and consistent is the co-ocurrance of depression with the perpetration of IPH over the age of 65. Also consistent is the lack of mental health treatment and support to IPH perpetrators prior to the murders. Of interest to domestic violence workers is the indication IPH that occurs within the first year of separation, motivations may be spurned by abandonment triggers in the perpetrator. Another surprising statement is the frequency of bystander murder. In other words, yet another study shows that while support to women leaving IPV is important to mitigate the occurance of IPH, it's short sighted and ineffective as a sole measure. To further reduce IPH incidents, community support should be extended to boys experiencing conflict in family and men experiencing mental health and substance abuse struggles. Unfortunately, the current social narrative of "toxic masculinity " and cultural enforcement of "stoic men" only increases the risk of IPV and IPH. The exclusion of boys from DV Aid, safe housing and care may also increase risk in adulthood by reducing opportunities to aid boys., given the prevalence of childhood conflict in IPH. Also note the gendered ratio of IPH incidents between male and female perpetrators. When % is recorded, it unfortunately minimizes the true rate of homicide between partners. For the five years of this study, the ratio of 4 women to one man murdered remained stable. Female: Male IPH victim ratio: 2008:4.05: 1 2009: 3.87: 1 2010: 4.54: 1 2011: 3.81: 1 2012: 3.76: 1 Study Mean: 4.01: 1 jaapl.org/content/43/3/300#T…

Xmen actor Tyler Mane revealed he was diagnosed with breast cancer “My first reaction was to keep it secret. I mean, it’s kind of embarrassing ... then I found out that men are more likely to be diagnosed in advanced stages BECAUSE it’s not talked about and not looked for”
