8 years ago I was working at a cafe in Nigeria helping final year students write their projects. That experience changed my life and led me to build something I believe will change education forever. Here is the full story ๐Ÿงต

3 days to go. Wednesday I will be live on Campus Radio 89.7FM at UDUS talking about Docuee and what it actually takes to build something from nothing. 3 years ago I was alone in a room with an idea and no proof it would work. Wednesday I get to tell that story to students who are exactly where I was. That feels like something. Post this around 7-8pm tonight.

This Wednesday at 3pm I'll be a guest on Campus Radio 89.7FM, UDUS โ€” talking about tech entrepreneurship and Docuee, the platform I built for final year students after watching them struggle for years. If you're a computing or final year student โ€” there's a discount waiting for you. docuee.com

Elon said "education will improve." I believe him. But improvement will not come from institutions waiting for government reform. It will come from founders who saw a broken system and decided not to wait. I watched brilliant students in Nigeria fail their final year projects not because they lacked intelligence but because nobody gave them structure and accountability. I stopped waiting for the system to fix itself. I built Docuee. Education improves one student at a time when someone decides the problem is worth solving.

Same here. Books built whatever thinking I have. But I watch final year students today who cannot sit with a textbook for 20 minutes. They outsource their entire thesis to cafe guys who write it for cash. Graduate. Get the certificate. Never learned a thing. That is the person we are handing the future to. Elon read his way to rockets. Our students are paying their way to degrees. Something is deeply broken.

Elon Musk became a trillionaire yesterday. On the same day SpaceX sent more satellites into orbit. Two things happening simultaneously because the mission and the money became the same thing. That is the rarest thing in business. Most founders chase money and call it a mission. A few build a mission so real that money has no choice but to follow. I am nowhere near a trillion. But I left a stable job in Abuja to build Docuee because I could not stop thinking about the students I watched fail in that cafe 8 years ago. That is the only version of this journey worth being on. Mission first. Everything else follows.

Final year students โ€” stop struggling alone. Supervisors โ€” stop chasing students on WhatsApp. One platform. One solution. docuee.com

The education system prepared you for exams. But which of these did it actually teach you? How to identify a real problem How to research something nobody told you to research How to defend your thinking under pressure How to start something with no guarantee it works Drop the number below. I am genuinely curious.

3 years ago I quit my job in Abuja. Everyone thought I was making a mistake. Stable salary. Good position. Clear future. I walked away from all of it to build Docuee. Not because I was bored. Not because startups are trendy. Because 8 years ago I sat in a cafe in Nigeria helping final year students write their projects โ€” and I saw something that broke my heart. Brilliant students. Completely lost. No structure. No guidance. Supervisor unreachable. Deadlines approaching. I thought someone would fix it. Nobody did. So I did. 3 years. Nights. Weekends. Savings. Doubt. Loneliness. More code than I can count. Docuee is now live. Students are using it. Supervisors are on it. Projects are being completed that would have been abandoned. I am not done. I am just getting started. The goal is simple โ€” every student on earth who has a final year project deserves a structured, guided, AI-powered experience from topic to defence. Not just Nigerian students. Every student. Everywhere. That is the billion dollar mission hiding inside a product that most people have not heard of yet. But they will.

I almost did not post this. Three years of building and I still second guess whether the story is worth telling. But if one person reading this is sitting on an idea they have been afraid to chase โ€” this is for them. What stopped you from starting something you believed in?

Just crossed 1000 followers. I started this week at 687. No paid promotion. No bots. No shoutout deals. Just showing up. Saying things worth saying. Having real conversations. Thank you to everyone who found something valuable here. Now back to building Docuee. The real work does not stop at milestones.

The product is the mission. I think about this every day building Docuee. The product is not a tool that helps students submit faster. The product is the belief that every student deserves to actually think through their work โ€” not just complete it. When the mission lives inside the product itself you never have to explain why you are building. It shows.

A student just lost his $45,000 scholarship because an AI detector flagged his thesis as generated. He offered to show his Google Docs edit history โ€” six months of work, edit by edit, typo by typo. The disciplinary board refused to look at it. This is the world we are building in. The answer is not better AI detectors. The answer is a supervised process where every stage of a student's thinking is documented, reviewed and signed off by a human who watched it develop. That is what Docuee is built to be. Accountability that protects students โ€” not just institutions.

The most common question students ask when they find Docuee โ€” "Can it write my project for me?" No. It cannot. It will not. The students disappointed by that answer are exactly the students who need Docuee the most.

A stranger found my reply on the SpaceX $920M post so interesting she asked Grok to analyze it. Grok called it "an efficient and effective juxtaposition" โ€” factually accurate and "the kind of framing that resonates in tech/entrepreneur circles." Grok also described Docuee as guiding "students from project topics to defence for less than the cost of a cup of coffee per user." I did not ask Grok anything. Someone else did. That is the version of marketing I want to build โ€” where the work speaks loudly enough that others carry it forward. The gap between $920M and $5 is where the real revolution lives.

We have a crisis no one is talking about. Every year, universities around the world produce thousands of graduates. But fewer and fewer of them actually learned anything. ๐Ÿงต

And if you are building in edtech โ€” Stop optimising for completion rates. Start optimising for transformation. The world does not need more graduates. It needs more thinkers.

We are building Docuee to be part of the solution. One project. One student. One supervisor. At a time. If this resonated โ€” share it with someone who needs to hear it. And if you are a final year student โ€” docuee.com is where you start. ๐Ÿš€
