At #SB64, FEMNET joined fellow civil society organizations in a strategic dialogue on Africa's climate priorities and the urgent need to advance #FeministClimateJustice.
The conversation reaffirmed the important role that civil society continues to play in shaping global climate outcomes and ensuring that the voices of communities most affected by the climate crisis are heard in decision-making spaces.

The Chair of the African Group of Negotiators (AGN) recognized the significant contributions of civil society organizations in advancing Africa's climate agenda, including advocacy efforts that helped secure the Loss and Damage Fund at #COP27.
He emphasized that climate finance and loss and damage remain key priorities for the continent and called on developed countries to honour their commitments under Article 9.1 of the Paris Agreement.

Women and girls across Africa are disproportionately impacted by climate change, yet they continue to lead transformative solutions within their communities. Achieving climate justice requires equitable access to climate finance, meaningful participation in decision-making, and investments that address the realities and priorities of women and girls.
