PSA: Don't use macros or turbo controllers for SR hunts in FRLG
Its seeded by the timing of button presses, I put together a controller macro to reset for starters with high levels of consistency. Here are the results after 40 starter resets. Over half were rng clones!!

Manually mashing A should still be fine because you have to hit 2 frame perfect inputs to generate a clone which is quite unlikely to happen on accident Watch a recording of the data collection process:
