What’s happening to the world? 1.Another vicious attack has taken place on some poor victim, and my prayers are with him and his family. 2.You see people using this as a narrative to be racist or to attack a religion. 3.Lies are told and rumours are spread, causing misguided anger for the wrong reasons. This is sad to see, and it’s happening again and again. Whoever this violent and vile individual is, and wherever he is from, he deserves the worst. This is happening far too often, whether it’s in Ireland, England, or even America. The entire world is suffering from these sick and twisted individuals who seem to face minimal consequences. For now, my thoughts are with the victim, his family, and those who witnessed this. I really hope we have not just witnessed another murder.

More details are now emerging from the horrific Belfast stabbing. Police have confirmed a man in his 30s from Sudan has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. The victim, a man in his 40s, remains in a serious condition after suffering severe injuries during the attack. Authorities have declared a critical incident, while political leaders across the UK and Northern Ireland have condemned the violence and praised members of the public who intervened to help. The motive remains under investigation and police have urged people not to spread rumours while inquiries continue.

Only official information currently provided Police in north Belfast are currently in attendance at Kinnaird Avenue following the report of a stabbing incident shortly after 10.30pm on Monday 8th June. A man has been arrested in relation to the incident and is in police custody while a second man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Officers will remain in the area to conduct their enquiries and would ask anyone who witnessed this incident, or who may have captured dash-cam or CCTV footage from the area which could help with their investigation, to call them at Tennent Street on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1654 08/06/26.
