I used to be upset when my follower count dropped and a year passed now and I just stopped wondering if I upset someone.
People I frequently Interact with are still here and the people who unfollowed either were bots or just hoped for me to follow them back (I still follow back of the account is ff14 related dw)

XIV players embracing sims and cheese strats is pretty aligned with how prominent AI acceptance and usage among the general public is. They only want the reward they don't enjoy the process, they don't view challenges as enjoyable but rather a nuisance.
