Of course it does. It's enough to significantly offset usage enough for individual homes, businesses, even military bases to either become less reliant on, or completely independent nod the grid. Also, renewables don't work like nuclear. You don't just build one turbine...

And that is, quite literally one of their advantages. A non-functioning solar panel, or even an entire farm, let's say, if a giant aircraft covered it completely. Doesn't represent a catastrophic loss of power compared to say, a nuclear plant under maintenance.

Pretty sure if the government does #cutthefueltax in New Zealand, for example by $1, petrol companies would use this opportunity to simply add $0.95 cents to the litre.

I would've thought people would've learned something from Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin is not an approved drug for COVID, and studies are still tentative at best. gidmk.medium.com/is-ivermect…

Though it seems Labour has enough seats, LAB/GRN is certainly better than NAT/ACT. That said, glad that Greens are doing really well.

The Green Party's Golriz Ghahraman is feeling inspired tonight. She says she's proud of the number of people her party have been able to mobilise. "There's been so many personal connections made this campaign and we've done it under Covid. It's a people's movement."

He said the Spanish Flu started in 1917 multiple times already, you'd think a staffer would've told him. But the Pandemic of 1918 ending WWII, that's definitely a new one. nzherald.co.nz/world/news/ar…

Here we go, the inevitable mainlandisation of Hong Kong.
An overhaul of Hong Kong's education system is under way. Protest slogans are banned, while teachers are advised to call the police if anyone insults the national anthem. “Will our kids be able to think critically when they grow up?” one teacher says. nyti.ms/3eiZtDr

People didn't make a fuss when the Royals changed their name from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor. And unlike the Washington Redskins, that House actually had real history. In the meantime, perhaps something a little more appropriate? Washington Orangeskins?

Not exactly a surprise...
President Trump's campaign rally in Tulsa late last month and the protests that accompanied it "likely contributed" to a dramatic surge in new coronavirus cases, a local health official says. Tulsa County had a one-day record high 261 new cases on Monday. apne.ws/GDaQJ5o
What a shame, Alexander Vindman deserves that Colonel's promotion. Good luck to him. 🎖️
Full statement from Lt. Col. Alex Vindman's lawyer on Vindman's retirement: "Through a campaign of bullying, intimidation, and retaliation, the President of the United States attempted to force LTC Vindman to choose: Between adhering to the law or pleasing a President."

Sigh. Mexico just closed its border to America. Because of COVID. I guess Trump kept that campaign promise, just in reverse. So, we cant go to Canada, Mexico, or Europe. The global quarantine will get worse every day. We are progressively all getting stuck here.

Trump obviously has no idea what words like facism and totalitarianism mean. To those who wrote that speech, shame on you. To those that cleared on this speech, shame on you. Perhaps the most un- American speech ever delivered by an American president, on the eve of July 4th.
