We were proud to have Corinthians Ladies as guests of honour at yesterday’s match. Corinthians Ladies unofficially represented England as far back as 1957. The team from Didsbury toured the World and won 50 trophies in 20 years all while Women’s football was banned by the FA. The documentary We Were the Champions hopes to tell their story for the first time. The ten surviving members have begun to have their story told with filming starting at our own Brookburn Road. The documentary crew @filmsnotwords are hoping to raise the money needed to finish the film. We wore a one-off Corinthians - We Were the Champions shirt which were auctioned off to supporters. Over £1000 was raised and has been donated to @filmsnotwords and their attempts to get the documentary finished. Thank you for joining us ladies. Corinthians 🤝 West 📸 by @sicook65
