Happy Final Space Friday! Over 30K copies out in the wild is insane! Exciting news my end, I’m now a Full Time Comic Book Artist. Will be working with Olan on the FS Expansions and The Lions Blaze as well as another project with Gungnir Books.
Happy Final Space Friday! We’ve officially started shipping orders #21,000–#30,000! 🎉 You’ll notice the order numbers jumping higher with each batch as we continue moving through fulfillment. As I said before it's because around this time Midnight Editions launched but also the order numbers include lots of other things not just novels. Are there still some orders from earlier batches making their way to you? Absolutely. Are we still shipping a handful from those batches? Yep. Most of those are orders that hit address errors or international shipping issues that require us to manually track down and correct information before they can go out. If you are worried about your order just message the contact page on the site. The good news: we’re through the vast majority of those issues, and it’s been incredible seeing so many international fans finally receiving their novels. Midnight Edition Update. Midnight Editions are moving along nicely, and we're dropping off another large shipment at the post office today. After that we'll be around the 50% mark. The good news too is it looks like we'll be able to release a chunk from (damage/exchange) inventory when this is all done. The Battle Worn Midnight Edition dust jackets have shipped to us from the printer and should arrive sometime next week. We've received a ton of emails asking if these dust jackets will be available separately, so for everyone who's been asking: we'll put a limited number on the store once they arrive. Book Tour Update. We'll be announcing Los Angeles Day 2 at Gallery Nucleus this Monday for book signing on June 28th. I’ve also reached out to Forbidden Planet about potentially setting up multiple signing stops across the UK. Right now, I'm focused on making sure we can get enough novels to each location and sorting out all the fun logistics—travel, hotels, inventory, and everything in between. After the UK run, I may take a week or two to recharge before hitting the road again. I haven't decided yet. As always, thank you for the patience and support. We're still pushing hard every day to get these books into your hands, and seeing them arrive all over the world has been incredibly rewarding. 🚀📚✨

Hey everyone, A few shipping updates! First off, we're still going hard every single day. We haven't really taken a day off since this started. Saturdays, Sundays...doesn't matter everything is blurring together. We're doing everything we can to get these novels out the door as fast as possible. Heck tomorrow is my birthday and I'm going to be doing this but the job. is. not. done. It's been awesome seeing international orders from Batch 1 and Batch 2 landing in your hands. Thank you all for the patience. I also updated the shipping ticker on the site. We're now pushing through orders 11,000–21,000, which means... We're officially about halfway through shipping all pre-order novels. We're waiting on updating shipping confirmations from MacMillian. The biggest thing slowing us down right now is still address changes. Yes, we're still updating addresses every day. We get emails every minute of every day asking for them. Happy to do it! What's happening though is shipping notifications are showing up in inboxes, people check them and realize: "OH NO... that's my old address!" Then they email us after the box has already been packed or shipped. We try to catch as many as possible before they leave the warehouse, but once they're gone, they're gone. At that point we have repack and resend. That's just the reality of shipping A LOT of books. We can post deadlines, reminders, updates, emails, social posts... but information doesn't always reach everyone at the same time. Sometimes someone sees the fourth reminder instead of the first. All good. So now we're still pushing forward but also trying to help fix the ones that are hitting errors. Another thing worth mentioning: If USPS marks a package as "Return to Sender" because the address is undeliverable, they are often not actually returning the book. In many cases they're destroying it. Yeah...it stinks. So far about 65 orders from Batch 1 & 2 have received that status. We won't know the final number until a few weeks after delivery attempts are completed. If this happens to you, please email us and we'll get your address updated and figure out the next step. If you need to update your address, PLEASE use the Contact page on the website as soon as possible. One of the benefits of running the pre-order for so long is that it allowed me to estimate exactly how many extra books we'd need for damaged shipments, lost packages, address issues, and all the other chaos that comes with shipping something this massive. I set thousands of books aside specifically for situations like these. Once EVERYTHING is shipped and everyone is taken care of, if we still have inventory left, I'll put those copies in the store. However, I will not be reprinting the pre-order cover. Once these are gone, everything switches over to the bookstore cover forever... and then I'm going to sleep for approximately nine million years. Midnight Editions are moving along nicely. We have a BIG shipment heading out tomorrow. We hit a couple slower days because I ran out of signed stickers and had to switch to signing books as they ship. The Battle Worn Dust Jackets arrive next week, so we'll begin shipping those out as well. Alright, back to it. -Olan

Shipping Update. June 1st. 2026. Had a great meeting with MacMillian to discuss where they’re at and the small of the issue they’re running into with international orders. They have fixed it. We had about 100 orders kick back during Round 1, where they manually tracked down and fixed the addresses. After that first round, only about 15 orders got kicked back from Batch 1, Round 2 which is actually a huge improvement. Usually this means the address is unreadable, incomplete, or the computer system doesn’t know how to interpret certain non-English keyboard characters. We had a couple Arabic addresses that had trouble transferring between systems. And UK addresses are still causing a few issues but less so now. We even had someone put their name as "My Email My Email" which... haha maybe that's a real name, idk. So we’re reaching out to those people directly to update addresses or track down whatever information we need. International peeps, the good news is: they’re figuring it out and pushing through it all. I’ve already seen a few of you getting tracking numbers, which is awesome. We also now have tracking data for orders up to and beyond the 10,000-ish mark they went out today, which is great. It really feels like everyone is starting to hit their groove. MacMillian has honestly been crushing it, and I’ve been boots on the ground too packing, taping, shipping, unloading. Not a spare hand is being wasted getting these things out. This week we entered the phase of shipping orders roughly in the BATCH 3: 10,000–16,000 range while simultaneously packing 16,000–20,000-ish. And a few in BATCH 2 international. Also worth mentioning: before we started shipping, I had a choice between faster automated packaging kind of a cold-press cardboard Cheez-It box style that automatically packs and labels or the slower, stronger, more expensive cardboard T-fold boxes. We tested both. I hated how the faster packaging looked and felt. It would have moved WAY faster, but it simply wasn’t as strong. We even had one test where a puncture went straight into the book. Look, damage is unavoidable with shipping. It’s going to happen regardless of what happens, we even had a Midnight Edition get damaged and it was in a cardboard box while inside a bubble mailer haha. That’s why I set aside thousands of books that aren’t for sale purely for replacements and exchanges. I chose the slower route knowing it would add a little more time... but also a lot more protection. Was that the right move? I think so. I like doing things right the first time. Usually that means things move a little slower. But sincerely, thank you for the patience. The job isn't done, until you all have your books. Onwards! -O

My copy of the @FinalSpace graphic novel has arrived. Been waiting since 2023. I’m so glad in spite of a cancelation, tax write offs, and other hurdles that @OlanRogers was able to finish his story. Really excited to sit down and read it. I’m going in blind.

Happy Final Space Friday! 🚀 We’re still working hard to get these pre-orders out the door and will be pushing through the weekend to keep things moving. In the meantime, I had Daz work up a FREE downloadable dust jacket for your graphic novel. I'm having him make a few more for free…so if you just run to a FedEx Office or local print shop and have one printed yourself. Should only cost a buck or two at most. Appreciate the patience, Team Squad ❤️ DOWNLOAD THE “SEE YOU IN THE STAR” DUST JACKET (when you check out if with give you a link to download it): finalspaceends.com/products/…

Hey everyone! I’m going to keep posting updates whenever I have them even if they’re tiny. So here’s the latest breakdown for both the COLOR EDITION and MIDNIGHT EDITION. First off: we’re answering roughly 500 emails a day…and then wake up to another 500 the next morning. A lot of these are address updates, which is totally fine we’re working through them and figuring it all out. It’s just clogging our inbox, but we expected this to happen which is why we had as many people as possible do it three months ago. COLOR EDITION We’re now in the later part of Batch 2. The timing got a little weird because of Memorial Day weekend, so MacMillian was closed Monday (though we did get a jump on Midnight Editions that day). About 400 international orders are going out tomorrow on top of USA, Canada. We’re also having a meeting Monday to figure out how to speed this process up even more. The biggest bottleneck right now is honestly just data. The process goes: Nashville exports batches → MacMillian imports them → UPS imports them There’s a small data conformity issue happening between systems, mostly with certain UK addresses. Some UK addresses work perfectly, others have unusual formatting where there’s no street name and only numbers or district identifiers. Different systems want address information formatted differently, so we’ve had to manually verify some of these orders. USA, Canada, and most international orders are moving smoothly and at a nice pace. This is still moving around 40x faster than I could have done this by myself. Thousands of books have been shipped out and it is getting faster MIDNIGHT EDITION We’ve been packing roughly 200-ish books per day. We have around 400 books hitting the post office tomorrow. We already have another 100 packed and we’re continuing to pack through today and tomorrow. MIDNIGHT SHIP DAYS ARE: TUESDAYS & FRIDAYS (The post office hates us.) But we are moving. We’re working long hours and moving about as fast as we can. One final thing: You may notice some big jumps in batch numbers. That’s because batch numbers include ALL orders not just graphic novels. More tomorrow! -Olan
