10 years ago I joined @LancasterUni as an RA on the @CfieProject. Today I’m thrilled to announce my promotion to Senior Lecturer in NLP. I’m also honored to take on the role of Co-Director of the @UCREL_NLP Group and the Strategic Lead of Arabic & Financial NLP at @SCC_Lancaster

So our FNP 2023 proposal got rejected by ACL @aclmeeting where we got 2 for organisers’ experience claiming we are not diverse geographically! We proposed a committee that is very ethnically diverse, has a female majority and comes from 11 countries across 4 continents! 🤷🏻‍♂️

We're hiring! Come and work with us at Lancaster University’s UCREL NLP group. The RA, supervised by myself and Kim Trottier, will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team from Lancaster and HEC Montreal Universities, working on our CARE project bit.ly/3QNpgac
