The reality since the new schedule began is stark. From 1 January to 1 May culturalvandalism.info records that @BBCRadioScot, plays by Scottish independent artists are down 23%, emerging/grassroots Scottish artists down 56% and female-led emerging/grassroots artists down 55%.
It frustrates me that the same people who want rid of bike lanes are the same people that want to drag us back to the 1950s when it was comparatively safe to ride a bike.

75.3% of the 243 professional Scottish artists that signed the Open Letter to @BBCScotland said that @BBCRadioScot late-night shows gave them their first radio play. Axing that pipeline is removing the opportunity for young Scottish musicians to be heard.
