Playing with a few parameters in the free and fabulous app Polagone by
@Fingerlab, a “visual synth” which can react to midi and audio and which is good for making generative motion, patterns and real time graphics.
It also contains its own LFOs, and here I’m using one to control the opacity of the Risograph effect. I have a 50-minute spoken walkthrough on this app over on my Patreon. I’ll link it and the app below.
Polagone runs on Mac, iPad and iPhone. The free version is fully functional, the IAP pays for export ability. If you look at this video, the frame you can see determines what will be in the exported file. In the video, frame size is one of the things I play with.
Note that, as a standalone app, this only responds to mic input or interface input, not system audio. That’s one reason why I’d love to see the developer
@polagone make an AUv3 version, though I’ve no idea whether this is on the cards.
The input audio here is a lovely guitar loop provided by pbelgium, I’ll also link his Soundcloud below. I’m processing that audio through
@ijoaudio’s granular app Celestine which I did a video on last week over on my Youtube.
