This evening we remember the fatal fire at the Stardust nightclub in Artane, Dublin 45yrs on
In the early hours of 14th Feb 1981 a fire broke out at the nightclub where more than 800 people were attending a Valentine's night disco.

48 young lives were lost as a result of the fire and 214 were injured.
Our thoughts are with those lost, those injured, their families and those who rushed to help (Dublin Fire Brigade, Ambulance Service and GardaĂ).

NIFRS were called to an incident involving a paraglider at the Lough Erne Golf Resort, Co. Fermanagh, at 12.51pm.
2 appliances from Enniskillen, 1 from Lisnaskea, the SRT and a Turntable Ladder have rescued a male from the 2nd floor roof, and he is now in the care of NIAS.

Two elderly men have died in a house fire in County #Sligo At around 11am, GardaĂ and alerted to the fire that occurred at a residence near Easkey overnight.
Two men in their 80s were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations ongoing. @OceanFmIreland
