To avoid war, you must engage in diplomacy. To engage in diplomacy, you must be able to negotiate. To negotiate, you must be able to cite common interests. To cite common interests, you must cite common truths. To cite common truths, you must observe a shared reality. We do not have a shared reality with the left.
You cannot give these people power. Words don't mean the same things to them. We share a vocabulary, but we don't share a dictionary.

Almost everything liberals believe in boils down to the mistaken assumption that universalism should abolish all particularities. “We’re all just highly advanced monkeys living on the same floating rock in space. We’re all global citizens. We’re all the same man, or at the very least, we all should be.” Why on earth should the oneness of something automatically entail the sameness of its constituent parts? A symphony is one piece of music, but it contains thousands of different notes. And if you remove all the particular distinctions between them, you get silence, not “unity”.

Well, some of us kinda figured out that rampant fraud that hands benefits to non-citizens isn't all that beneficial to us.

I will never understand how so many of y'all were hoodwinked into believing the government should not use the money YOU PAY IN TAXES to create a social safety net that benefits YOU.

Well, most of us abandoned New York because it constantly keeps voting to self-destruct, but insofar as New York is becoming an open-air zoo, that could be a problem since places run by communists generally are forced to eat their zoo animals.
As a Japanese person I'm genuinely confused. Did Americans abandon New York because the boss ape mayor and his group took over the territory? Or is the Bronx Zoo just operating without cages now, based on the right side of this video?

They crack jokes about George Floyd and laugh in our faces, and we do nothing. They shoot our children in the back and then sentence them as adults for defending themselves and we do nothing. They call Michelle Obama, the first Black First Lady of the United States a Man, and a Monkey and we do nothing. They strip away voting rights in the same southern states where we send our best Black athletes to play college sports to make them BILLIONS, and we do nothing. They openly talk about bringing SLAVERY back, and we do nothing. We are desensitized to our own disrespect.

Well, yes. Because we all know what the outcome would be based solely on the race of the defendant.
White people would pass out if they saw an all-Black jury.

Again, you may not like the UFC thing at the White House, but the moment you hung a giant pride flag from the columns and had half-naked “trans” activists exposing themselves on the lawn, you lost all right to complain about desecration.

Well, other than being gay, this sums up my way of thinking as well.
At 65, I’m a man of contradictions. I’m conservative, but gay. I’m black, but I don’t obsess over slavery, racism, oppression, or reparations. I don’t fit into any of their boxes. I voted for Trump because he offered me more than any democrat has ever done. He offered to love my country and make it GREAT AGAIN. That's what I voted for. Because I’m just an American who wants to see his country remain the best in the world. And nothing Donald Trump has ever said made me afraid to vote for him. If he could run again, I’d vote for him again. Because let’s be honest: He’s a better president than any of the last 3 democrats we’ve had, or whoever they crap out in 2028. Is anybody with me on that?
53
Which is one reason why no matter what Trump might do, agree or not, I will never regret voting for or supporting him.
If Trump had lost, America’s entire 250th 4th of July would be about gay pride, apologizing for a history we shouldn’t be apologizing for… and DEI nonsense.

I would say largely by feminism, which can include men and women.
🇯🇵 I am Japanese. Question for people all over the world. Is the declining birth rate caused by men? By women? By both men and women? Or is it nobody’s fault? What do you think?

Actually, that's exactly the right way to think about it. The states in the US were meant to me semi-autonomous domains that gave up a portion of their sovereignty to the federal government to form a union.
I always thought America was one country 🇺🇸 But Americans on X keep saying "Well in MY state it's totally different" Texas. California. New York. Florida. It sounds like 50 small countries in a trench coat. Is that a fair way to think about it? Please quote-tweet with your state flag! 🙋

Elon could literally solve homelessness tomorrow. All he needs to do is sell his stake in the companies he created from the ground up, crashing the price and evaporating his wealth as well as the savings and pensions of workers globally.. handing the control of these companies over to short term profit interests and preventing any long term vision from being enacted.. THEN take whatever money that remains which will be nowhere near 1tn and give it to homeless charities who have never solved homelessness anywhere on earth because they’re financially incentivised to do the opposite. Bam - homelessness solved. The reason he doesn’t do any of this is because he’s evil.

You're being overly obtuse. It's not "anti-foreigner." It's "anti-foreigners degrading your culture and turning the country into something it isn't." I don't see anyone saying that all foreigners should be expelled, but rather, those foreigners who refuse to respect Japanese customs and culture.
Honestly, as someone who really hates war and knows Japan relies on imports for so much, “Japan First” feels weird to say strongly. That slogan is basically used by right‑wing populists who push xenophobia against foreigners, not just “let’s prioritize our people.” I agree every country should put its people first, but in Japan this phrase has become too close to anti‑foreigner rhetoric.

This shit is disgusting. The jury heard the evidence, including from Black witnesses on the defense side, and still convicted Karmelo Anthony of murder. Instead of dealing with that, the reaction decided the real problem was that Austin Metcalf didn’t know how to properly kiss someone’s ass before he got stabbed. That’s the actual argument being made. A Howard University professor came out and said the father failed to teach his son that Black kids have boundaries and that their space isn’t to be challenged. In other words, the dead kid should have known his place and backed the fuck down. That’s the standard they’re defending after a murder conviction. Not self-defense. Not fear for life. Just “he got too close and didn’t show the right kind of respect.” And when that didn’t fly in court, they lost their fucking minds. Death threats to the family. People talking about shitting on Austin’s grave. Some sick fucks started an “Austin Metcalf challenge” where they mock the way he died. Jasmine Crockett had the balls to say Anthony was justified because he didn’t want to stand in the rain. The rain. That’s where we are now. They’re not mad that a kid got killed. They’re mad that the killer actually had to face consequences for it. They’re furious the old rules still worked long enough for a jury to do its job. This isn’t complicated and it sure as hell isn’t deep. It’s a bunch of people openly arguing that murder is acceptable as long as you can dress it up as some kind of boundary enforcement after the fact. And the second a court said no, they showed exactly who they are. (article below)

People are pissed @elonmusk is the world's first trillionaire and scream he needs to 'pay his fair share.' Meanwhile, his companies employ over 150,000 people, just created more than 4,400 new millionaires with the SpaceX IPO alone, and pay tons of six-figure salaries every year On top of that, Musk paid about $11 billion in personal taxes in 2021 - more than the entire GDP of dozens of countries - and he expects to pay over $500 billion in taxes over his lifetime That $11 billion alone could've covered a full year of free school lunches for every kid in America. Instead, the government wastes $186 billion every year on improper payments - fraud, overpayments, and screw-ups Their anger is being directed to the wrong place

Fascinating. I experience "white" people all the time. I have yet to find any reason to hate them as a group. In fact, if I were the type to hate an entire racial group, (I'm not, though) it's "black" people I'd have a problem with if I compared experiences.
Nobody Black has to be brainwashed into disliking white people. They just have to experience white people.

Or maybe the "racism" was taught by a bunch of racialist lunatics threatening his family after *his* son was murdered. Might've been that.
Called it I knew that white boy came from a racist home and was taught to hate black people and think he’s superior that’s why he attacked Karmelo, I hope all of this is used in his appeal cuz racism is taught at home🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴

I wish I had that screenshot handy about how leftist discourse consists of them pretending not to understand things.
It is a moral failure of our country that we changed the rules to create a trillionaire while doing nothing about the 771,000 homeless and over 18 million who do not have enough to eat.

A neighbour heard a girl scream and called the police. Officers found a 13-year-old at 3 a.m., clothing disrupted, in a house with a group of men who had given her vodka. The men were not questioned. The girl was arrested — for being drunk and disorderly. This is not a rumour. It is in the Jay Report, and it was put to South Yorkshire's chief constable in Parliament. Another case: a 12-year-old found in a car with a 22-year-old man who had indecent images of her on his phone. No action taken. The British state had handcuffs that night. It used them on the child. What does a justice system call itself when the victim gets a criminal record and the abuser keeps his taxi licence?
