Karen moved from Cape Verde Islands to Portugal at 18 where she earned a law degree & certificate in Business Law. When she moved to the U.S. her limited English made the transition difficult. @charitiesboston helped build her language skills & now she's enrolled at @BHCCBoston

This month we visited @CAI_Haverhill & listened to students present on their goals for the future. The 6-week boost #ESOL class is funded by a #grant from First Literacy. The class is for students who have been on the waitlist for a long time (some for two years!). #grantfunding
