Afghan returnees who were forcibly returned through various entry points received essential services in the areas of registration, transportation, financial assistance, healthcare, and public awareness. The details are as follows:
Nangarhar – Torkham (Durand Line)
Registration, Verification, and Reception Committee:
A total of 413 families, comprising 2255 individuals, returned to the country through the Torkham crossing and were registered by the committee.
Transport and Relocation Committee:
A total of 323 returnee families, consisting of 1771 individuals, were transferred from Torkham to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Kabul provinces. An amount of AFN 1417760 was disbursed for transportation costs.
Financial Affairs Management Committee:
Financial assistance totaling AFN 3318000 was provided to 395 families.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
At Omari Camp, returnees received healthcare and telecommunications services. In addition, 488 SIM cards with active service packages were distributed.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
Returnees were provided with information and guidance on registration, transportation, financial assistance, temporary accommodation, and other related services.
Kandahar – Spin Boldak (Durand Line)
Registration, Verification, and Reception Committee:
A total of 31 families, comprising 182 individuals, returned through Spin Boldak and were registered.
Transport and Relocation Committee:
49 families, comprising 296 individuals, were transferred to Kabul Province. An amount of AFN 647000 was provided for transportation.
Financial Affairs Management Committee:
Financial assistance totaling AFN 294000 was provided to 35 families.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Returnees were provided with food, healthcare, and telecommunications services, including 283 meals and 28 SIM cards.
Nimroz – Silk Bridge Crossing
Registration, Verification, and Reception Committee:
A total of 70 families, comprising 271 individuals, returned through the Silk Bridge route and were registered. Additionally, 1324 passengers also returned to the country.
Financial Affairs Management Committee:
Financial assistance totaling AFN 16000 was provided to 2 families.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
A total of 866 individuals received medical treatment, and 2 SIM cards were distributed.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
Returnees were provided with information on services, assistance, and related matters.
Herat – Islam Qala
Registration, Verification, and Reception Committee:
A total of 26 families, comprising 87 individuals, returned through Islam Qala and were registered.
Financial Affairs Management Committee:
Financial assistance totaling AFN 174000 was provided to 26 families.
Kabul
Transport and Relocation Committee:
A total of 67 families, comprising 375 individuals, were transferred from Kabul to various provinces. An amount of AFN 249990 was provided for transportation.
Committee for Permanent Settlement and Land Distribution of Returnees:
Housing plots were allocated to returnee families as follows: 401 families in Nangarhar, 235 in Farah, 60 in Helmand, 270 in Samangan, 34 in Nimroz, and 102 in Balkh.
During the past day alone, a total of 1102 families received housing plots. The cumulative number of distributed plots has now reached 47089, and the process remains ongoing.
