Victoria’s longest standing community legal centre championing equal access to justice and law reform for the most marginalised members of our community.
On 22 July, FLS appeared before the Legislative Council Legal and Social Issues Committee for the inquiry hearing into the redevelopment of Victoria's public housing towers. We raised serious concerns about community harm, affordability and lack of transparency.

This hearing is a chance to amplify the voices of residents and advocate for a housing future rooted in community, justice and dignity. FLS remains committed to supporting residents throughout the redevelopment process.

2/3 The cost to our communities of underfunding the community legal sector? Women and children stuck in dangerous situations for longer, people becoming homeless, asylum seekers facing exploitation, more people in prisons and hospitals and more. #SaveCommunityLegalCentres
1/3 People trust Community Legal Centres to support them early, before legal problems snowball to crisis point – but this year’s Federal Budget failed to provide the funding the sector desperately needs. Community Legal Centres are currently in an incredibly uncertain position.
Do you want to help fight injustice and create better laws and policies for our communities? We're recruiting for a Systemic Advocacy and Projects Officer to join our Social Action and Public Interest Law team. Please apply and help spread the word!
