I think I know why I’m happy for the Knicks.
It’s a big city with lots to do, New York. But God do they love their basketball team.
They hadn’t won since my mother was in High School, but that didn’t define the culture of the franchise. The lack of championships and being long suffering wasn’t the story.
They never became lovable losers. Too much pride.
The culture of the city defined the culture of the team. They celebrated in good times and bad, so it feels like this joy was earned.
Not one guy on the Knicks was supposed to be the next big thing. They actually beat the next big thing.
It’s just kinda dope.
reinsdorf and wirtz were able to negotiate property tax deals. northwestern built a stadium. the fire have shovels in the ground.
i know these are not all the same, but it seems the bears are the only ones with this specific problem.
You could see he was waiting for his moment to contribute in a big way. Because whenever he’s in, he plays at a high level. Not just his physical skills, his bball IQ is on display on getting to the right spots&distributing the ball as well. He’s the type of player I watch&like.
After this wild NBA finals, I had to screenshot this group chat on what I thought about the Knicks and the Spurs…I just thought the Knicks had finally figured it out in closing games&even dominating as they did the entire playoffs & the Spurs’ inexperience would be their ruin🤷🏽♀️
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 53 YEARS, THE KNICKS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS 🏆
New York defeats San Antonio 4-1 in the NBA Finals, capturing their third championship in franchise history!
The Bears’ Board of Directors voted Thursday to advance the stadium development in Hammond, Indiana, with the exact to be selected. This is this first time that the Bears’ board has voted on any stadium site.
As one source said, “There is more work to do but barring anything very strange, it’s a done deal.”
I’m always searching for organic and/or minimally processed, low sugar, no additives food/products. I am excited when I find products made by Black people & minority owned businesses. So, when I stumbled across this BBQ sauce, jackpot 🎰 Juneteenth, it’s going up!
