I just read a Linkedin post from a recruiter giving advice to job seekers on how to approach interviews and ending it with a Hunger Games quote.
I guess that's what the games industry job market is like now.
I think we gamedevs, and more specifically indie devs, aren't transparent enough about our struggles.
Let's work on changing that
For instance: you know those games you love? Well, quite a lot of the studios behind them might not exist any more a few months for now.
A thread ⏬
Friday was my last day at WB Games. Although I know leaving was the right decision to make for myself and although I am really excited for what’s to come, I’ve been feeling really weird for the past few days.
I guess I’m feeling a mix of guilt (for « abandoning » my people), sadness (because I will miss my wonderful team so much), anger (because of the reasons why staying wasn’t an option) and relief (because I won’t have to deal with those reasons anymore).
Good job @AirCanada
Flight was supposed to takeoff 8 minutes ago, boarding hasn’t even begun yet but according to your app everything’s fine (not better at the boarding gate by the way, 0 information shared with us by the gate agents)
So we finally got a notification that the flight was delayed “due to meteorological conditions”. Fun fact, there were 2 other flights to Paris scheduled at the same time, they both took off as planned. I guess Air Canada gets a different weather than Air Transat or Air France 🤷🏻♀️
