Without technical lyrical gymnastics, Tupac dominates goat discussions because his music was authentic in its depictions of Black America’s condition. As an artist he painted pictures. His music resonates on a SOUL level because he tapped into his emotions rather than competing with the other wordsmiths to see who could be the most clever. Authenticity and impact trump wordplay. A common poet can play with words but only a select few can touch the souls of the listener. Rap is a political arm of Black America. The fact that outsiders are entertained or impressed is secondary.

People for still know am. Whether Banky Dey or not. God just appoint someone to be a part of it. That’s why when you see a person you can help, do it because whether you do it or not, it’s written that that person will be successful. So you actually need to take the chance to be part of the story. That’s called legacy.
If not for Banky W, who for know Wizkid??

15 YEARS SINCE DAVIDO’S DEBUT SINGLE. - 15 songs I believe captures 15 years his longevity and dominance. 1. BACK WHEN feat Naeto C - announced his arrival and intentions to dominate Nigerian pop music. 2. DAMI DURO - the mega hit that took him from newcomer to superstardom. One of the most impactful songs in the history of Nigerian pop music. 3. ALL OF YOU - A defiant statement to the industry that shows courage and ambition. 4. AYE - further solidify his status as a continental hitmaker. 5. SKELEWU - The ray of light on a rather bleak moment of global commercial pursuit. 6. “I’m not here to ask you any questions, I’m just here to tell you on behalf of Nigerians that we are very very proud of you. You are a very intelligent coach, you have done well, you made us proud of this team” - Nigerian Sports Journalist, Isemwa to a very emotional Eric Chelle. Isemwa, God bless you, Eric Chelle really needed to hear those words and I hope we keep him.

We thank God in all situations. A gutting way to end the tournament. The support & togetherness we’ve felt has been special. Sorry we couldn’t take it all the way, we fought and gave it our all. We’ll build on this. Not finished yet though, we still have something to push for. 💚
