Chuck Yeager was quite possibly the most Legendary test Pilot ever. Having fought in WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, & Most notably Becoming the 1st person to break the sound barrier aboard the Bell X-1 “Glamorous Glennis” (which he named after his wife Glennis Yeager) in 1947. (1)

This was the type of man to perform such a flight after having broken 2 Ribs while riding on Horseback the day prior, the type of man who, on the 50th Anniversary of his historic flight in 1997, celebrated by breaking the sound barrier again in his F-15. (2)
