Back aboard NB George 😁❣️ Came through 4 torrential thunder storms!

I may be on land for a couple of weeks, but at least I have waterways nearby 😊

There's a bone factory on the Market Harborough arm where there are a huge number of Red Kites. I finally got some pictures of them today, albeit nearly ending up with the boat in the reeds! I've never seen 8 Kites together until the past couple of weeks 😁

Not the best start to the day when I opened what I thought was red paint to find it was cream 😱 So 1 mile walk into town and 1 mile back (uphill) with replacement RED paint...here's the result of the first coat. I call this shade 'Jolly Bright Red' 😁

Well, I may have taken a couple of weeks off but I haven't been resting on my laurels. Following blacking over Easter, the roof is finally finished and painted, sliding hatch undercoated, gas locker lid undercoated, and grab rails started 😁 Hoping to get the first top coat on the hatch and lid tomorrow and continue with the grab rails. Now that's progress!!
