I have seen or heard rumors of the Penguins trying to trade-up to get Viggo Bjorck from too many different places now, that it has to be true. If we manage to do it, I will go to PPG Paints and build the Dubas statue with my bare hands.

According to @Hockey_Robinson and @chrismpeters podcast, we’re trying desperately to move up to get Viggo. However, in their mock we remain at 22 and finish with Bleyl

By my count there are currently 538 players with expired NHL contracts this offseason (RFA and UFA) that have not signed overseas, re-signed with their old team or officially retired. Busy offseason ahead.

Looking at Jason Bukala's final top-100 ranking for the NHL Draft, it's interesting to me that not a single person outside of the top-8 does he project as a top-line / top-pair. Everyone from 9-25 he has as 2nd line / 2nd pair projection. So, maybe getting into that top-8 is important, lol. Or maybe we don't trade-up at all, if we can't get into the top-8. If we're gonna get a 2nd liner at 9th and at 22nd, why trade-up and "waste" those assets? I would personally think that Klepov and a few others (at least) in that 9-25 range have top-line/pair ceilings, but I don't do this for a living, like he does, so what do I know?

Jeff Marek: Dallas is right up against it, especially if they re-sign Jason Robertson, which doesn't look likely, but if somehow they do, I wonder if someone like Mavrik Bourque could be ripe for an offer sheet - DMase Vingan & Daunic (6/9)

I just looked at it, and last year, there was a trade on: June 12, 13, 18, 19, and 21st, then they really started happening often around the draft. Stuff has to start popping off soon, especially with the hype around the higher frequency of trades expected to happen this year. We're so close to when stuff will start at least trickling in league-wide. At least rumors should really pick up any time now. Yes, this is probably cope.

All guys I'd be happy to see Dubas and Clark take at 22.
