We have some news.... after half term we will be merging our social media accounts for the Learning Challenge Curriculum and Focus Education. If you don't follow Focus, please do so @focuseducation1. We will continue to post about our curriculum on there.
The importance of intent, implementation, and impact lies in ensuring that educational goals are clearly defined (intent), effectively put into practice (implementation), and have a positive outcome on learning (impact).
By focusing on these aspects, educators can align their teaching strategies with the desired learning outcomes, monitor progress effectively, and make necessary adjustments to improve student achievement. It helps in creating a structured and purposeful learning environment that maximizes the potential for student success.

The Learning Challenge Curriculum ⬇️
How is it set out? Here’s a few key points:
💙 Units of learning aim to help pupils do, know and remember more
💙 They can be used across a term or condensed into a half term
💙 Each subject starts with a main question
💙 This question is linked to an area of the National Curriculum
💙 The main question is supported by subsidiary questions (components)
💙 These components are the focus of a week’s learning Read more (and sign up for a free trial or demo) here: buff.ly/3BnFIJY#education#earlyyears#curriculum#teaching#teachers#school#learning
How has the Learning Challenge Curriculum been designed? 🤔
To put it simply, the curriculum is built on sequencing substantive and disciplinary knowledge, as well as prior learning, so that each subject creates a narrative.
Information is drawn from the National Curriculum, but it also considers a school’s context, helping you create your own bespoke curriculum.

We loved presenting our sustainability project to our friends in Year 2 and our teachers were so proud of us we all received a special sustainability certificate for our super recycling! ♻️🥰#FPSWECO
It has deliberately been set with a multiple-choice answering system which ensures that we are not adding to teacher workload and being supportive of children who have low literacy attainment.
The aim is to let children participate in the quiz at the end of the unit and then again at the end of the following term.
The questions have been set in such a way as to ensure that both children’s substantive knowledge and disciplinary knowledge are being assessed.
The quizzes are set out in such a way as to make it possible for peer marking to support the assessment outcome.
