@sewanyaya, founded by
@SanjeevSanskrit and
@swati_gs, is breaking the backbone of unlawful conversion networks and related human rights abuses, supporting their victims, and helping vulnerable families reclaim their original identity with courage and legal protection. We enter challenging but critical domains that others avoid.
Last month, we acted on 8 major fronts:
• 50 families freed from unlawful conversion networks came back to their roots in a massive ceremony at Shivrinarayan, Chhattisgarh.
• Across 9 Jhuggi Jhopdi colonies in Delhi, we trained locals to recognise, expose and legally stop miracle-healing conversion networks operating in their midst.
• Trained vulnerable groups in Delhi and Jodhpur to defend themselves against mob attacks and knife assaults, completely free of cost
• We legally intervened in various cases to hold perpetrators accountable such as for wiping off tilak of students at an examination centre in Karnataka, making children play out a skit derogatory to their deities, beating a tribal woman, and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
• We rehabilitated various atrocity survivors such as a boy who lost to nine years of madrassa captivity, a dalit woman who escaped a conversion trap laid by an illegal arms supplier, sand fire-devastated slum families
• Trained 70 children from displaced Pakistani Hindu tribal refugee families in martial arts at our dedicated full-time facility in Jodhpur
• Financially supported a Divyang-run educational centre for slum children
• Accompanied a dalit survivor for 9 hours at a police station to get an FIR registered for her allegations of rape, conversion, intimidation against a family
