She goes on to explain that unvaccinated people living in the wealthiest communities have a lower rate of hospitalization than people in communities with high rates of poverty who are fully vaccinated.

Looks like we're going to have a "Team of Variants" kind of winter instead of one variant dominating the others.
Main consequence is for monoclonals. Looks like Bebtelovimab won't work for BQ.1 & BQ1.1. For Evusheld, it's the BQs BA.4.6 & BF.7

The CDC’s first weekly Covid report seems to indicate Covid deaths have quietly doubled.

This escalated quickly.
From October 18th to October 20th, the CDC reported 260,881 new Covid cases and 5,476 new deaths (though it was 5,111 according to the difference in totals.)
