The @scotgov has published the @PeatlandACTION Five Year Partnership Plan 2025 – 2030 with commitments to the themes of Further, Fairer and Better. Peatland ACTION will be engaging with stakeholders in the new year on the implementation of the Plan. 🔗t.ly/CIURC
The first Peatland ACTION Five-Year Partnership Plan sets out Scotland’s aim to increase peatland restoration to more than 400,000 ha by 2040. Agriculture Minister @JimFairlieLogie commended the 90,000 ha restored since 1990 as steady progress is made each year.

Beavers have officially returned to Glen Affric. Working in partnership with @treesforlifeuk and @BeaverTrust a family and a pair of beavers have been released into Loch Beinn a Mheadhoin on land we manage in Glen Affric National Nature Reserve.

Glen Affric will offer good habitat for the beavers to establish themselves and become fully integrated into the local ecosystem. In turn their activities will create and improve habitats used by countless species of plants and animals for food, shelter, and reproduction.

On Wed 8 Oct we'll complete our Glentress Masterplan with the opening of a new skills area. Opening ahead of the school mid-term break, the skills area is made up of features and trails designed to encourage and assist young and inexperienced riders develop their skills.
