Work will be undertaken on 12th-15 April, & again on 17th-21st April some areas of Fort Amherst will be closed off to visitors for Health&Safety reasons. There may also be some occasional loud noises similar to gunshots heard on Saturday 15/04, apologises for any inconvenience

The 11th & 12th of March the Die Soldaten Living History Group and the Grenadier Regiment 916 of WW2 Living History Association, Portraying regular German Army infantry 1944-45. Gun firing will be taking place between 1pm and 3pm.

On the occasion of the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Fort Amherst will remain closed on Monday 19th September. The fort will reopen at 8am on Tuesday 20th September.
